    A tough question indeed. The literature IMHO only covers some limited aspects and partial views to the whole system. Then there is the paywall problem for scientific literature. Honestly I don't know where to start. EDITED: A suggested starting point https://eatforum.org/ https://eatforum.org/

      The research community is talking about creating a body to summarise existing knowledge for the public and decision-making communities --- the IPCC sort, but no one knows why is it not happening yet.
