Btw, can you sit quietly in a room for fifteen minutes, stilling the thoughts in your own mind?
- airstrike 2y agoPretty much, but even if I couldn't that would not prove a third party was inserting thoughts into my mind. To conclude as much would be a well known logical fallacy called "Denying the Antecedent"
- illuminant 2y agoI wasn't offering a mechanism of proof (your assumption) merely asking if you have spent the time to more deeply explore, or are you being casual with your awareness?
- airstrike 2y agoFair enough, my bad. I meditate on occasion, so I would say I have indeed sat alone (attempting to) still the thoughts in my mind.
- illuminant 2y agoThose who can control your mind "meditate" continually. Indefinitely. They literally create compartmentalized spaces in their own minds, through which they can "holographically" observe and manipulate the minds of others (even multiple others) with greater perceptual detail than the subject's mind can even perceive. As incomprehensible as that sounds, some can rummage through your memories without you even being aware that it is happening.
- airstrike 2y agoThe thing is, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. I have no reason to believe any of that is real.
- illuminant 2y agoI give first hand account, take it or leave it, don't be a hater!
- airstrike 2y agoI'm not hating at all! I'm just saying testimony and evidence are not the same thing
- illuminant 2y agoI guess "don't be a hater" was more for the karma assassins. For every one person who voted up on this thread, two voted down! I don't criticize your skepticism, I criticize incredulity! That is, the refusal to believe.
