This sounds like "other models in place of ChatGPT," and for those not in the know, ChatGPT is basically a fallback for requests that Apple's local / private cloud model can't fulfill, and the user has to give consent every time a request is sent to ChatGPT instead. It's barely an iOS feature, it's essentially a Siri integration.
The ChatGPT integration is barely the exciting part of Apple's announcements yesterday. The stuff that is done locally and with Apple's new servers that can interact with your account and data is much more interesting because we haven't had anything this personal comprehensive plugged into an LLM before. I don't really care that I can pass prompts to ChatGPT with Siri.
Not really news here, just "maybe one day instead of passing requests to ChatGPT Siri will pass them to Google"
