New York Times responds to source code leak
- rkagerer 2y ago...including source code for Wordle Hilarious to see this there, like it's some kind of major score. In fact I was under the impression Wordle is nearly all client-side, so everyone already has the source, list of words, etc. (never bothered to check if it's obfuscated).
- kevincox 2y agoAt some point they removed the future answer list. Now it just sends it from the server (depending on your time zone you may get "tomorrow's" word, but you no longer get a years long list).
- barfbagginus 2y agoLet's leak all the proprietary Source Codes in the world! Proprietary software threatens to destroy humanity by enforcing and producing inhuman, capital centric values. Due to the existential threat caused by the proliferation of such production, all proprietary software must be seized and made public, so it can be audited, and repurposed for genuine human survival values.
- apantel 2y agoYeah just forcefully “sieze” things from people. Great “values” to live under.
- barfbagginus 2y agoI don't just do it. I do it when doing it serves Justice. Has a real big difference. But if you don't understand ethics you're just going to try to attack me like a person, and try to beat me to death. I wish you luck with that effort. I want to tell you what I've done to people who have tried. But I'd rather you find out for yourself give it a shot. I hate everything you stand for don't f** with me.
