Musk to Ban Apple Devices If OpenAI Is Integrated into OS
- wkat4242 2y agoDoes that mean he will ban everything Microsoft from his companies too? That sounds... Ambitious.
- jprd 2y agoAmbitious is very generous. This is a temper tantrum disguised with business. Petulant at best. Marry this with his tweets today about "woke" and creating his own phone. There are serious reasons for serious people to validate this tech before unleashing it within the workforce. Elon is not that person, and he's clearly not being serious with these antics.
- wkat4242 2y agoYeah, it's a lot easier to replace some phones though than to eliminate windows from your entire business. Which also integrates OpenAI tech at the OS level now. At our business we can switch between Android and iOS seamlessly. Getting rid of windows, not so much. So even if this was serious it's a magnitude easier to do on mobile IMO.
- RecycledEle 2y agoAnti-trust comes to mind. OpenAI has such a huge market share that it would be wise for anyone integrating their AI into products to offer their users the option to switch to another provider.
- reneberlin 2y agoHe should just buy Apple and make it "safer" :) Ok, please don't tell him - you never know what happens next then.
- cpncrunch 2y agoLuckily, he can't afford it.
- quantified 2y agoEmployees will continue to use Apple devices at work? Or are they fully Linux/Windows?
- Havoc 2y agoChildish
- danjl 2y agoI'm sure his employees love hearing him say these silly things /s
