- aurareturn 2y agoHard to say without knowing the contract between Microsoft and OpenAI. Perhaps Microsoft has full access rights to all of OpenAI's models for life? That would effectively make OpenAI a subsidiary of Microsoft.
- Oras 2y agoI found the article misleading. Microsoft has a 49% stake in OpenAI and exclusivity in using their models. They have also invested in Mistral AI, so they are not "outsourcing" their AI, as the article suggests.
