Why not rate limits instead? I’d argue for safe and responsible use over illegal vs suddenly completely legal, but then again I’m not a politician

  People under 16 will still be able to legally create and use social media accounts in Spain. What they are raising is the age at which people are able to freely consent to the data processing that social media companies do. People under that age have to get a parent or guardian give consent.

    Ah, I did not understood that was the point. That seems like a very reasonable law indeed!
