I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you understand by now that you need to change your domain to a real provider and get as far away from Squarespace clowns as possible.
- Corrado 2y agoI would love to move our .dev domain away from SquareSpace. The problem is that SquareSpace (aka Google) are the only registrar that allow .dev TLDs. Luckilly that domain isn't production and won't impact us (much) if it goes down.
- plagiat0r 2y agohttps://www.registry.google/register-a-domain/ https://www.registry.google/register-a-domain/ There are a few registrars that can be used. I wish this list be bigger, but it's not only squarespace.
- gpjt 2y agoPerhaps I misunderstood, but what makes you think that only SquareSpace supports .dev? I have one with Gandi, and it looks like Namecheap support them too. Haven't checked other registrars but I'd be surprised if they weren't widely supported.
- Corrado 2y agoOh, that's exciting. As I understand it Google originally purchased the .dev TLD and no one else could use it. I've been checking with AWS for several years to see if they supported .dev and as they don't I just assumed that no one else did either. It looks like I have some work to do when I get back from vacation.
- solardev 2y agoCloudflare supports .dev too and they are the only name servers and registrar I'd use, personally (for their technical competence and dashboard ease of use). Had all my domains with them for years and never had an issue.
