I've just had a great idea for an action/thriller movie. The bad guys kidnap some VIPs, say some US senators, and make some demands. They bring in America's top hostage negotiator to deal with the situation. He brokers a deal giving the bad guys large parts of what they want in an unorthodox way. It's revealed then that the bad guys also kidnapped his child and are instructing him on how to handle the negotiations.
