- ghaff 2y agoSomeone I know had a new house built fairly recently. I don't think there's a splash of anything that is not some shade of gray in the entire house. It would... not have been my choice.
- dangus 2y agoNo, I wouldn’t compare this to interior design trends, especially since it’s the complete opposite trend going on right now with colorful postmodernism.
- FooBarBizBazz 2y agoI'd disagree. The public is rainbows; the private is gray. Google is rainbows, and the exterior cladding of the new apartment block is not unusually rainbows. But new kitchens, living rooms, and bathrooms are all gray. And I do think it connects to cars. There's been a recent trend (maybe now a year or so passe, but still relatively strong) for Nardo Grey. https://www.blackbirdspyplane.com/p/why-do-new-cars-look-like-this https://www.blackbirdspyplane.com/p/why-do-new-cars-look-lik... There's a lot of gray.

- ghaff 2y agoAt some point beige in computers gave way to gray and then black crept in to a significant degree as well.
