Who’s pulling the lever if not humans? We don’t treat animals or processes of nature as rational decision makers. What am I missing here?
- golemotron 2y agoPulling the lever isn't designing the lever. Sometimes reality designs the lever and you have no choice but to make a choice.
- relaxing 2y agoI think you’ve misunderstood the thought exercise. Reality doesn’t design levers. The lever is a metaphor for a human designed system, and the point is not to cast you as a simple lever operator.
