  Perhaps off topic, but I want to recommend Asahi. I had it installed on a spare M1 iMac and it worked well for me. I don’t use it right now since I gave the iMac to a family member, but early this year it was stable and nice to use.

  I had Asahi installed on my MacBook for over a year. I mostly use macOS on it but every now and again I boot into it, upgrade the system, have a poke around, try a few things. Today I did that. There was a major upgrade to Fedora 40. Now the computer won't boot on Linux, missing the initramfs IIRC.
