      Shoot, sorry, I didn't see this comment until I left town for a week and left my iPad behind.

    Also sucks on iPad 3 (well, "new iPad") running 5.1.1. When I manually drag the text pane over to the left (sigh), it overlaps the buttons transparently, then eventually redraws over them.

  My browser is Safari 5.0.2 on the iPad 2 (iOS 4.3.5).
