Biden Administration Tightens Mileage Standards to Buoy EVs
- puzzledobserver 2y agoAre there any gas / hybrid vehicles on the market which achieve 65 mpg? Even the 2024 Prius seems to only achieve 57 mpg.
- instagib 2y agoLooks like Prius is topping the non-plugin hybrid list at 57. The older one I looked at showed they need to increase efficiency by 2% per year. Does it mean they need to have more models available or actually sell that 65mpge average amount? Can still produce a two 12mpg v8’s as long as they produce two 120mpge electric cars. Or pay a penalty for failing to meet the standard.
