I wanted to like Gimp, but I bought Pixelmator Pro on my Mac because I just couldn’t… Hard to describe, it’s just clunky if you know the professional tools well. But plenty of people do use it, so your mileage may vary. I hope the rough edges are polished down over time, but not at the moment for me.
