Makes me wonder if they should’ve avoided naming things like “chapters” as it sets the wrong expectations.
- willcb 2y agoAuthor here, very fair comment! My thinking with the naming convention was to resemble a "compiled textbook" where the "meat" of each chapter/section is the linked content, and my primary contribution is the organization/roadmap rather than the exposition itself, but I'm open to changing if it'd help with clarity. Will be doing another round of edits soon anyways to reflect some newly suggested resources that people have shared. This has gotten a lot more eyes on it than I was expecting, suggestions/criticisms are welcome and appreciated! Started making it mostly to organize my own understanding + to have a central resource repository to share around to friends who want to learn more about this stuff, any other people finding it useful is a bonus :)
- jsjohnst 2y agoIt’s definitely an awesome resource after digging into it, very glad you’ve shared! Like GP, at first it seemed potentially a bit shallow when skimming before I realized the format. Naming things is always hard. Somebody else mentioned “dictionary”, but dictionaries aren’t linear/sequential building upon prior content like you have. Honestly I probably wouldn’t worry about it to much, it either works for someone or it doesn’t.
