Generative AI Handbook: A Roadmap for Learning Resources
- Mohsen_Mokrian 2y agoThis is a very good idea. Thanks!
- abhisharma2 2y agoRead the first chapter and really loving the structure and framing of the document. It’s incredibly hard to keep up with the pace of AI when you’re trying to actively develop applications. Looking forward to diving in. Thanks!
- phreeza 2y agoAm I missing some UI element or are the "chapters" mostly ~5 line paragraphs?
- jsjohnst 2y agoSeems you aren’t wrong. It does link to a lot of external resources that look good though. Makes me wonder if they should’ve avoided naming things like “chapters” as it sets the wrong expectations.
- willcb 2y agoAuthor here, very fair comment! My thinking with the naming convention was to resemble a "compiled textbook" where the "meat" of each chapter/section is the linked content, and my primary contribution is the organization/roadmap rather than the exposition itself, but I'm open to changing if it'd help with clarity. Will be doing another round of edits soon anyways to reflect some newly suggested resources that people have shared. This has gotten a lot more eyes on it than I was expecting, suggestions/criticisms are welcome and appreciated! Started making it mostly to organize my own understanding + to have a central resource repository to share around to friends who want to learn more about this stuff, any other people finding it useful is a bonus :)
- jsjohnst 2y agoIt’s definitely an awesome resource after digging into it, very glad you’ve shared! Like GP, at first it seemed potentially a bit shallow when skimming before I realized the format. Naming things is always hard. Somebody else mentioned “dictionary”, but dictionaries aren’t linear/sequential building upon prior content like you have. Honestly I probably wouldn’t worry about it to much, it either works for someone or it doesn’t.
- triyambakam 2y agoI've been finding 6.S191 [1] a pretty good introduction to the landscape. I wish Alexander taught the entire course instead of switching off each lecture, but overall I'm enjoying it. [1] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErnWZxJovaM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErnWZxJovaM

- Kydlaw 2y agoThank you for sharing, I love the dictionary format, only mentioning the main concepts and links to learn more about them. Sources all look great btw also! But as always, Umar Jamil[1] is missing... If you think Andrej's videos are useful, people should definitely go learn with this guy took. Great in-depth explanation of concepts where he doesn't shy away on theory while still providing hands-on code exploration. Not affiliated, just wanted to give him and his work a shoutout. - imjonse 2y agoSeconded. He has very good videos on many topics and a down to earth attitude.

- orsenthil 2y agoWhy don't we feed this into a model and ask that model itself to teach us?
