Someone in that thread talks about the numbers of devices potentially affected versus the few complaints. I’m not sure “potentially millions” is right; I suspect individual HP models (of which there are many) maybe sell in the tens or at most low hundreds of thousands. But I fear the reason why there are so few complaints is easy: it’s a three-year-old HP laptop model so they are mostly already in the bin.
