Isn't this basically giving up on the 2% inflation target? EU inflation rate stands at 2.6% and they're already cutting rates.
- asdasdsddd 2y agoScary, despite being totally arbitrary, having an inflation target helps stabilize prices.
- toomuchtodo 2y agoIf you wait to cut until you're at the target, you're already behind the curve and could cause unnecessary economic system damage. Similar to piloting a supertanker; you have to account for direction and momentum. In this case, it is time to add power.
