I met a harvard grad the other day. I was astounded how below average this person was. They just got their PhD. However, it was on a soft science. I asked him for advice on a problem in his field, and he basically couldn't answer. He talked about his degrees. I think this person must have cheated. Its the only thing I can imagine.
