I thought I had great interviewing skills, but as I started applying for jobs with high standards I realised I've never actually developed those skills or tried to understand what kind of answers a serious employer is looking for. I've also never applied during a recession which skewed my experience. The trigger for seeing that I don't have enough interviewing skills was during an interview, the interviewer replied to my answer with, "Okay, I guess that's one way to answer the question..."
