vacuum containers
- JumpCrisscross 2y agoI have a vacuum sealer, but their bags are plastic. Is there an eco-friendly Food Saver bag that doesn’t require commercial composting?
- nerdjon 2y agoI bought re-usable vacuum seal containers from Foodsaver. I hate the thing. It cannot keep a seal and will always slowly let air in, in a few days. I keep looking for alternatives since I vacuum seal a lot and I hate using a new plastic bag for each, but have yet to find a suitable alternative that doesn't defeat the entire purpose.
- haileys 2y agoThere are hard plastic containers, like regular reusable food containers, that have good seals and little vacuum pumps on the lid. You actuate the lid pump a bit and it removes enough air from the container to keep food for a bit longer. It's not magical, it won't keep food forever. But neither does cling wrap.
