The CEO of Zoom wants AI clones in meetings
- JohnFen 2y agoJust nope all around for me on this one. Even assuming that "AI clones" are things that actually exist in a useful way... If a meeting is so meaningless that I can send someone/thing else to sit in on it for me, then it's too meaningless for me to bother with even doing that much anyway. If I'm in a meeting where someone sends an "AI clone" instead of attending, I'm going to be angry and insulted at the level of disrespect they're showing for me and my time. > Or I do not need to check my emails; the digital version of myself can read most of the emails. Maybe one or two emails will tell me, “Eric, it’s hard for the digital version to reply. Can you do that?” And this idea is even worse. What would be the point of even trying to communicate with a coworker if you can't actually, you know, communicate with that coworker?
