  Seems very abstract still. Not a single mathematical formula. It is a good overview over the ideas, but from glancing through the document I don't feel there's anything in there that Jeff Hawkins hasn't publicly talked about before. I'd be interested how the actual implementation looks like, in particular Jeff talked about how they're using insights from neuroscience like dendritic computation. No details on that at all, again. Am I missing something, or what do they mean with 'open sourcing'? Is there any code or so they've published?

    I agree completely. Here's hoping that we can evaluate this once the open source project is actually released. I wish they had just released it with this announcement, but from their open positions perhaps they want those filled before it goes live. Time will tell.
