- bee_rider 2y agoIf they could make money by selling new copies of Windows I’m sure they would. But they ran out of ideas with Windows 7. Since there’s no reason to buy a new copy of Windows, MS needs to turn their customers into a recurring revenue stream. I wonder if they fired everybody creative a couple years ago while CPUs were stagnant, leaving them in a rough spot to respond now that things are doing ok (I mean we’ll never have 199X-200X again, but there’s competition again at least).
