my problem with this is that timing
this comes in a time, when political correctness is considered woke and bad, this comes in a time where the right wing is gaining momentum of strength
"diversity not required" is not an innocent statement
this is not a move to the center, this is a move to the right (alt right)
the right move would have been to define and explain diversity, not exclude it , diversity is not just in race , diversity is freedom

- hurrdurr57 2y agoThe definition of "diversity" in the context of DEI is essentially "absolute ideological conformity". So no, not requiring a pledge to reject all independent thought is not a move to the alt-right. This is a solid step away from totalitarianism and towards actual diversity.
