I definitely agree that sites should have a skip link, but at the same time it feels strange to me that browsers don’t just implement the functionality directly.
Isn’t that the whole point of the <main> tag (and its associated ARIA role), so that browsers can know which content is the “main” content?
- funcDropShadow 2y agoBrowser only implement what improves ad revenue. How does proper navigation for the end user help ad revenue? It usually reduces the time spent on a page, i.e. it reduces attention, i.e. it reduces ad revenues.
