Show HN: I Am Ignorant
- mtmail 2y agoContent like blog articles shouldn't be 'Show HN'. https://news.ycombinator.com/showhn.html https://news.ycombinator.com/showhn.html The article being AI generated is a red flag to me (but thanks for the transparency).
- eibrahim 2y agohow do you recommend i add it to HN?
- MissTake 2y agoI’d venture to say: You don’t. I, for one, would never ever cite output from and product like OpenAI as fact without checking everything it stated. At which point, why bother? A “blog” like this has very little to no value in my humble opinion.
- eibrahim 2y agoThe idea for the site is that lately I have been constantly challenged by my kids. They come from school and tell me about all the stuff they learned and they ask me questions which I usually have no answer to... So I started writing down all their questions/topics and then when I get to my computer, I would chatGPT it to get a summary/overview of the topic. It's been very educational for me and thought why not turn this into a blog/newsletter of daily "fun facts/tidbits". But thank you for the feedback, I will re-evaluate this after a week or so and see how i can improve the process. I just launched it yesterday. PS: maybe I will hire a VA to edit/review/double check each article before it is published.
- gus_massa 2y agoIt's an interesting backstory. There are not hard rules for articles in HN, but the articles are expected to be deeper. Perhaps about a subject you are an expert, or semi expert. Perhaps about a new subject you have been learning for a week or a month.
