It's time Elon Musk faced a blunt truth about Tesla
- palata 2y ago> In fairness, if anyone is worth a pay package of that size it is probably Musk. Tesla’s share price rose from $1.40 back in 2010 to more than $400 at their peak. How is that fair to the hundreds of employees who worked very hard to get the company where it is? Pretty sure Musk couldn't have done it all on his own. Not to mention that it's worth less than half of those $400 now. > He is, without question, one of the great entrepreneurs of the century so far. If abusing people and firing random teams counts as "great", I guess? Anyway I would question it. > Perhaps most significantly, the company is clearly losing its edge. Wait... didn't you just say that Musk was so great the company had to go well under his management? > And Tesla seems unable to make up its mind whether it wants to move into the mass market with cheap EVs or to stay in the luxury market, turning itself into an electric BMW or Mercedes. The price for that kind of strategic confusion is typically a high one, and companies that can’t settle on a clear strategy rarely prosper. But still he's worth 56bn because he is great at... what was it again?
