Show HN: I do nothing in my dayjob for 95% of the Time so I made this
I had the problem of having a boring office job, where im not busy at all, i sit in an office and my bosses keep walking around. And i also enjoy scrolling (twitter) . So to fix this i made a simple free Chrome Extension to make it look like a PDF file. And here i made a little landing page for it. (am proud btw) : https://xdisguise.com/ https://xdisguise.com/
So i made this :)
- tejonutella 2y agoI’m gonna be honest. This kinda just looks like Twitter on a PDF. Which I guess is the point but with how many images and media is on Twitter it’s hard to be inconspicuous lol
- GlebShalimov 2y agoThis is very cool in terms of idea and realisation
- jackjoane 2y agoThank you :)
- itake 2y agoI've seen better versions of this where they take a website and put it into excel or google docs, so it looks like they are working on a document.
- jackjoane 2y agoCool - i didnt find those :) I like my lightweight version for myself
- eltonlin 2y agoThat feels like a Hackathon idea, so fun. It's inspiring to me.
- jackjoane 2y agoThanks :) Get cracking on your ideas ;)
- jaredliu233 2y agoHahaha, bro, you are so interesting, it seems like you are really free!

- bzmrgonz 2y agoDo you need an assistant where you work? I think you do, please send me HR's email!! :-P
- anon115 2y agoXDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
- Jemaclus 2y agoLove this idea. Very funny and well done! Fun fact: back in ye olden days (90s, early 00s), we used to call these "boss keys," where you could hit a key on your keyboard while playing a game, and the UI would switch to a spreadsheet or document, so that as your boss walked by, it looked like you were working, but once they were gone, you could hit another key and jump right back into Quake or Hexen or Command & Conquer or whatever. Haven't seen an app with a boss key in a long time, and I think they're due to come back!
- manx 2y agoThere should be a version for the terminal which looks like logs.
