So just by scaling more they think they will get to AGI? My guess is that it will need something new, maybe a new Nobel prize worthy discovery. It will be interesting to see how history will view the LLMs of today.

The problem is that they haven't even defined AGI, so how are we supposed to research and engineer our way there?
