I had the same issue. I solved it real easy by keeping a python/sql script to create the db, which was VIEWs over parquet files, similar to the article although

I had the same issue. I solved it real easy by keeping a python/sql script to create the db, which was VIEWs over parquet files, similar to the article although with local files. The sql syntax is stable so this works great. Creating a db as a few VIEWs is also very fast.
