- gmerc 2y agoMy point - We don’t like the tradeoffs or consequences. Usually relating to our entirely man made economic system. What? Arrest Co2 increase in the atmosphere
- plasticchris 2y agoSo many points. Does your thinking start with “it is obvious that…” or “the right side of history” ? We as humans are just very susceptible to a combination of fallacy and social reinforcement, no matter our political stance.
- gmerc 2y agoThere’s nothing complex about human induced Co2 in the atmosphere. We know what we have to do.
- Ray20 2y agoNo, we are not. It is just Western-centrism, and you for some reason forget, that there is 5 billion more people on the Planet, for whom the consequences of the fight against CO2 emission is more dangerous then the global warming. The same goes for microplastics pollution and the other things you listed.
- gmerc 2y agoAs someone living in Southeast Asia 2m NN and at close to 40deg every day now - a hearty Fuck You. The same from my friends in Dheli who have 45C/12xF head. The same for Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia dealing with coastal erosion and drowning in western shit plastics. Spare the fake bullshit about being concerned about the rest of the world. We have a word for people like you. Fascists. Apparently we moved from denial to denial of human effect to the “it’s good for you” phase of colonialism again.
