After F-16s Ukrainians Criticize US M1A1 Abrams Tanks
- bell-cot 2y agoThe article has mostly-ample disclaimers. Though I didn't see mention of the M1A1 being a mid-1980's design. And the ones sent to Ukraine were probably stripped of several valuable-but-sensitive subsystems.
- ethagknight 2y agoNot a great article, the tanks are vulnerable to drones, they want to use the tanks as artillery instead of tank v tank, the tanks are vulnerable without air support, some tanks have had operational issues. I don’t know what they were expecting from the Abrams, but… it’s a tank.
- sillywalk 2y agoHere's a decent article about the new 'cope-cages' added to protect against drone attacks, along with pictures. https://www.twz.com/land/ukrainian-m1-abrams-tanks-get-elaborate-cope-cages-soviet-explosive-reactive-armor https://www.twz.com/land/ukrainian-m1-abrams-tanks-get-elabo...
