But then you have to fly on an airplane. Having accumulated a at least a million air miles in my career I am sort of done with them except for emergencies. I just have a strong aversion to airplanes and the air travel industry these days. Guess my horizons are already expanded anyway, been all over and find hanging out in my home region fine. I do think everyone should do at least a little safe international travel. Visit Europe once or twice. Visit a country or two in Asia. But I mostly found it made me want to be back home. I like my house, hobbies, and friends a lot. I know that sort of travel can be transformative for many, though, which is why I encourage people to do it, but I also completely get not wanting to :)
