Actually it seems like the opposite. The chances that the government or other entity with a purchased exploit is going to hack you is very small. The targets there are the 1%.
If instead of being sold on the black market, the exploit is disclosed to the public. Worms can be written, your grandparent's unpatched computer could be taken down, and the overall impact on the average Joe will be much higher.
- Karunamon 14y ago.. and the hole can be eventually fixed. Sorry but you'll have a hard time convincing me that full disclosure is the wrong way to go.
