All this AI stuff is a godsend to the oppressive regimes. Makes their jobs a lot easier, effective, more believable, etc.

Even if true it’s just a matter of time before people will have absolutely no idea what truth really is.
- wruza 2y agoMakes their jobs a lot easier, effective, more believable, etc. Does it? Troll factories with authentic humans exist for at least a decade. They cost dirt cheap compared to a regime’s budget. There’s no problem with creating a network of bs, the problem is how to make it relevant. people will have absolutely no idea what truth really is We already have no idea. The only things that are true are fundamental human motivations. You can’t miss too far starting from there. Once you get that point of view, everything becomes so clear, despite missing details.
