To me, the most unfortunate thing in this storyline so far is not that people aren’t up to speed on AI, but that students are regularly getting penalized because they are suspected of using AI. Teachers and professors using “AI detection” tools seem to be causing the most harm at this point. I don’t know what else kids can do aside from stream the entire process of writing an essay on Twitch.
