It is user friendly, just picky, who it's friends are ;-) More seriously though, you are probably bringing assumptions, that are specific to your current OS, and frustrated, that your existing experience is not 100% transferable. This works both ways; if you tried to switch from linux to your current OS, you would be also frustrated by this.
