  There was this sci-fi novel I read some decades ago about a supercomputer that knew everything and could answer any question, so one day it was asked something like "what has been the biggest invention ever by man?". The supercomputer whirs for a while, then replies "God". I can't recall what novel was, I read it probably 35-40 years ago, but I believe it was much older.

  The idea is to search for the truth and discard beliefs you understand to be false and not get stuck on them. If you know it is created by man, such as AI, you can know it's not God. Faith is mystery, it's not science. Atheists are the strongest believers of all, because they are 100% sure that they know exactly what any other person means when using the word "God" and that it's the same idea that they have themselves discarded.
