Why Nvidia stock isn't in a bubble

- subharmonicon 2y agoI don’t think NVIDIA stock is a bubble, but I do think AI hype is overheated and unless we start seeing companies turning substantial profits from all the NVIDIA hardware they’ve purchased, the purchases will slow down. To that point, what percentage of their data center revenue came from just Meta, Microsoft, Amazon, and Google this past year? And will those companies, who can afford to drop 10s of billions on hardware, refresh everything with Blackwell? If enough inference moves on-device or to other hardware platforms, I do think NVIDIAs growth will slow substantially, and sales may even drop substantially over the course of a couple years.
- slau 2y agoI’ve had nVidia stock for the better part of the last decade. By far my best performer. Whenever articles saying “here’s why it isn’t a bubble” start popping up, I tend to really start considering dropping a stock.
- fragmede 2y agoIf you got in at $5 in 2015 and it's now at $1000, that's a whopping 20000% return! I don't know if it's a bubble or not but I'd at least sell off like 20%, enough to recoup my initial investment and a generous return, and let the rest ride. Point being, it doesn't have to be a binary decision.
