Duh..? Lots of autistic people have less adrenocorticotropic hormone production, which implies less proopiomelanocortin so less alpha-melanocyte stimulating hormone activity.
Autistic people have weaker substantia nigra, and symmetrically stronger bioenergetic drive from melanin-concentrating hormone.
This is a downstream effect from the persistently dysregulated AVPR2 activity & high body vasopressin that triggers a large chunk of "high functioning" autism.
