LinkedIn seems great for people who have had a relatively straightforward career path, or where they know they want their next job to be in a specific direction. Maybe that's most of humanity and I'm not their target market and that's fine. I just find it an absolute pain because there's no one way to summarize what I did in past roles that is universally clear to all the roles I might be considering that I have the requisite skillset.
