I don't know why you're being downvoted, this has been my experience as well. I had a problem with my eyeglass prescription creeping up by about 0.5 diopters every visit to the optometrist! I started wearing glasses that were about 0.75 diopters less powerful than my 20/20 prescription and my prescription stopped increasing. Didn't get better, but it did stop increasing.
