Except everyone does want them, and even bigger trucks. They dominate sales.
- otterley 2y agoIn the late 2000s, when gas was $6+/gallon nationwide, SUV sales tanked. Automobile factories were furiously retooling to build small cars again. GM and Chrysler lost their shirts. (Ford made it out bruised but not broken.) Then when gas became cheap again in the 2010s, SUVs became popular again, and everyone retooled again to build them.
