Ethics and morality can only refer to entities that can define and distinguish between right and wrong. An app cannot do that, so asking if an app, even one with so-called AI, "is" ethical asks the wrong question. Do you as the authors act morally and ethically making the app available and taking money for it? Do your users act morally by deceiving potential "dates" with messages from a bot? I don't think deception qualifies as moral behavior, nor does creating a tool that encourages deception.
