Marc Andreessen wants you to stay in school
- throwawaymanbot 2y agoWait... I thought him and his fellow Bungleheads, saw no value in schooling?? Whats the big change in opinion now? (I think i know.. ) Just if nothing else it shows u how silicon valley types can reverse course, while proclaiming they are 100% correct, and will remain 100% correct facing the other direction. A gentle reminder, that they are mere mortals, and not the gods they think they are after getting high on their own supply for the last decade.
- throwaway22032 2y agoI am a firm believer that some people are just going to succeed no matter what. For lack of better terminology, they have that "get rich or die trying" mindset, they will never be content with a 9-5 and a pension. Those are the sort of people that "wouldn't listen to him anyway". For everyone else, a degree and a good name on your CV can't hurt, as the studies show with their correlations and averages and stuff.
- KerrAvon 2y agoMarc Andreessen also wants you to be heterosexual, cisgender but don't say it or it's a slur, and to be able to say the N-word with wild abandon.
- wormius 2y agoDoes he have a lot of stock in student loan companies? Sounds like it.

- lores 2y agoAt this point I'd instictively disbelieve him if he said the Pope's Catholic. The man is such a heinous sociopath I'll first assume he's lying for fun, profit, or both.
