Detroit's Revival Moves Beyond Downtown with 'Little Village'
- rmason 2y agoThis is one of the most interesting new developments in Detroit. It's an artists village surrounded by trees that a real estate speculator planted around the time the city went bankrupt. I haven't visited it yet but plan to on my next trip to Detroit. Nearby a real estate developer put in a row of brand new suburban houses. If they sell well he has the land to create an entire new subdivision with a view of downtown. Few other cities are there so many interesting experiments going on at the same time. What is making it happen is so much vacant, low cost land.
