That's working with assumption that I am sitting and doing nothing else. Usually I am watching those long videos on the TV while working instead of listening to music.
Then you could rephrase it as "millions of people are watching TV several hours a day" Are they watching the TV, or just having it switched on while doing other chores so there is no "silence" when they will occasionally stop?
