> Omit internet tropes.
- ziddoap 2y agoIndeed. Eschew humor. Avoid anything not super serious. Laughs aren't allowed on HN.
- shepherdjerred 2y agoThere's a difference between humor and pattern-matching memes like you see in Reddit threads.
- HeatrayEnjoyer 2y agoI laughed, that's good enough for me. I don't care for snobbiness.
- shepherdjerred 2y agoI don't know what you want here. The grandparent comment quoted the site's rules. I provided my opinion what is humor vs internet tropes.
- HeatrayEnjoyer 2y agoI want people who aren't snobbish and rule-lawyering. This isn't middle school we don't need hall monitors.
- shepherdjerred 2y agoReminding others of community norms isn't snobbish or unreasonable. How else do you expect a community to function as it grows?
- HeatrayEnjoyer 2y agoSo doubling down is your strategy? This isn't a debate, your attitude isn't being entertained here.
